Compliance at Williamson Diamonds Limited means adherence to both local and international law — and to the voluntary standards our industry holds itself to. It underpins every stage of our operation, from security and land use to labour practice and the sale of every stone we recover.
We hold membership of the Responsible Jewellery Council and adhere to the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme, giving customers and regulators confidence that our diamonds are produced responsibly and traded legitimately.

Are Held To
WDL adheres to Tanzanian law alongside the international frameworks that govern responsible mining — covering security conduct, environmental protection and labour rights.
VPSHR
We follow the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights, guiding how our security personnel and public police partners engage with employees and surrounding communities.
Environmental Impact Assessment
Operations are governed by an approved EIA, setting the terms under which we manage land, water and biodiversity impacts across the mine lease area.
Labour Law
Employment practices comply with Tanzanian labour law, covering fair wages, working conditions, occupational health and safety, and the right to organise.
Kimberley Process Certification Scheme
Every parcel of rough diamonds leaving Mwadui moves under the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme (KPC), the international mechanism that keeps conflict diamonds out of the legitimate market. WDL adheres to KPC requirements at every stage — from recovery and valuation through to export.
Together with our VPSHR, EIA and labour law compliance, RJC membership and KPC adherence give a complete chain of assurance: every stone can be traced back to a mine operating to recognised legal and ethical standards.
